BEHAVIOURAL SUPPORT

Sometimes we struggle with our dog's behaviour. They might bark when the doorbell rings. They may seem frightened of other dogs when you're out walking.  Or they might get over excited when people come over.

These are all common issues and something I can help you with.

When you contact me, I'll take a brief history over the phone.  I'll then send you out a detailed questionnaire, covering your dog's daily routine and details of any problems you are having.  Once this questionnaire has been returned and I have all the background information I need, I'll arrange to come and see you at your house.

Behavioural consultations last between one and two hours.  During that time we'll discuss any issues you are experiencing, what training and management you have in place already and how we can tailor an ongoing support plan to best suit your dog's individual personality and needs.

I do not use or condone any dominant or aversive methods in behaviour modification or action plans.

Following our consultation, I will send you a detailed report and action plan.  If you have any questions, we can discuss them over the phone, so everything is clear.

I'm happy to work in conjunction with your vet if necessary, and if so, I'll also send them a copy of my report.

The consultation fee will include a follow up visit and two months phone and email support for the issues discussed at the initial consultation.

I can assist with issues including the following:

  • Separation anxiety

  • Dog to dog aggression

  • Fear or aggression towards people

  • Barking

  • Jumping up at people

  • Mouthing and nipping
